Not only is the cooling trend in the U.S. since 1998 continuing, it is actually accelerating. Of course, this is is just a trend and at some point it will certainly change but month after month, as new data is released by NOAA, I plot the trend.
For the most recent 12 month period (April, 2010 through March, 2011) temperatures in the contiguous United States for the similar 12 month period going back to 1998 show a cooling trend of 10 deg. F per century. None of the IPCC models predicted this considerable cooling trend for the United States.
